Here is more information about the Jungle Jalebi plant:
Appearance
- Size and Structure: Jungle Jalebi is a medium-sized tree that can grow up to 10-15 meters (33-50 feet) tall. It has a spreading, umbrella-like canopy and a short trunk. The tree often has spiny branches, making it somewhat thorny.
- Leaves: The leaves are bipinnate (feather-like with pairs of smaller leaflets), giving the foliage a delicate appearance. The leaflets are small, green, and glossy.
- Flowers: The tree produces small, fragrant, white to yellowish-green flowers that are arranged in clusters. These flowers attract a variety of pollinators, including bees.
- Fruit: The fruit is a curved, twisted pod that is green when immature and turns reddish-brown as it ripens. The pods contain a sweet and tangy pulp surrounding the seeds, which resembles the shape and taste of jalebi (an Indian sweet), hence the name "Jungle Jalebi."
