    • Leaves: Pinnate with several pairs of oblong leaflets, which are bright green and glossy.
    • Fruit: The fruit is a long, cylindrical pod that can grow up to 60 cm (24 inches) long. The pods contain numerous seeds separated by a sweet, sticky pulp.
    • Uses: The tree is widely planted as an ornamental plant for its beautiful flowers. The pulp inside the pods is used in traditional medicine for its laxative properties. It is also the national tree of Thailand.
    • Growing Conditions: Prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It is drought-tolerant once established and can thrive in a variety of soil types.
